Thank you for taking time to follow Embracing the Journey. Your countless messages, comments and likes have meant so incredibly much! I am humbled to have this opportunity to share a little of my life with you.
You were there through some of the most memorable moments and you journeyed with me through some of the hardest. We may have met, we may have not, but truly I am grateful for you.
As much as I would love to post that 2017 was the best year yet, I strive to be real with you. I am so thankful for a fresh 365 days. There were some extremely humbling and incredibly exciting highlights that I could live again and again and I know without a doubt, those were from God! This past year was also filled with some of the hardest days but I know that through the painful moments, the hard days and the many questions, come greater growth, deeper love and a stronger faith that we serve an amazing God.
Every day is a gift and as we face a new year, I want to encourage you.
– Whatever your year holds, God has already gone before you. He knows every blessing and every heartache and He’ll be right there with you. There are good things coming. We may not know them, but He does and He’s already there. “For I know the plans I have for you,” Jeremiah 29:11.
– Friends, maybe you are loving every moment of life right now and if so, I am celebrating those life moments with you! And maybe you are a little far from loving this season. Maybe the thought of facing more unknown is almost too much to bear. Keep fighting the good fight! Continue doing the right thing. I know it gets hard and tedious and at times so unfulfilling but don’t give up. God sees everything you’re doing! Even the unspoken, unseen or unappreciated – He sees not only the action, but the motive behind it. “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up,” Galatians 6:9.
– Nothing captivates my heart like a vibrant sunset or the moon’s brightness or the millions of glistening stars!
In Job 38, God talks about His creation – about the heavens and storehouses of snow and the constellations and so much more. He is King over all. I love how God asks Job, “Where were you when I laid the earth’s foundation?” I don’t know what immovable mountain you’re facing, but God is all powerful. He holds creation and everything in it and He is so much bigger than what you’re facing! So whenever you see the sunset or full moon or countless stars, may you be reminded of Who is in control!
May your 2018 be a year filled with seeking first God and may you be guided by His wisdom and love. Praying you enter this year wrapped in His unending love and peace!
