Little Bites

Sharing my top three little bites that get me through the day! They are low in sugar and high in protein.

I was searching for a protein bite that would be perfect for on the go or a quick something to go along with my iced coffee in the morning. (Starbucks Iced Coffee in Caramel Macchiato is amazing! You can find it at your local grocery store.) These protein bites are a perfect start to the day or mid day pick-me-up!

Here’s what you’ll need.

  • 1 cup oats
  • 2/3 cup toasted shredded coconut
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 Tbsp. chia seeds
  • 1 tsp vanilla
Roll into 1 inch balls and refrigerate for 10 minutes or until firm. Then store in a air tight container. Keep refrigerated. Enjoy!

Sweet potatoes seem to have become trendy and I can see why! They are versatile, healthy and great for your heart. Move over kale chips- these sweet potatoes are the new trendy potato chip substitute! These sweet potato chips have become my new staple. With no salt added, they are a healthier alternative to tortilla chips. They have a sweet hint that doesn’t overpower the naturally salty chip. I love it with this salsa! Sargento recently released these dried fruit, nut and cheese balanced breaks! They come in multiple varieties, my favorite being the pepper jack and honey roasted peanuts! They are perfect for an extra boost of protein to sustain you until the next meal!
