Through all its complexities, difficulties and beauties, life is full of pleasures we must all appreciate as daily gifts from an almighty God.
Life is beautiful. Life is colorful. Life holds adventure. Life is hard.
How do you change your focus from the ever-pressing questions of tomorrow onto the daily moments of right now?
A popular French phrase, “La vie est faite de petits bonheurs,” translates to, “Life is full of little pleasures.”
I love life because …
What makes you love life?
When you wake up, what is the first thought that brings a smile to your face?
The realization that coffee is minutes away.
The sunrise that doesn’t need an Instagram filter.
For me, I wake up knowing that as Lamentations 3:23 says, “His mercies are new every morning.”
That single sentence, those six words, draw me close to my Creator.
Some days (I’m looking at you Mondays) are difficult.
I don’t look forward to the unexpected traffic or the coffee stain from braking too fast or the mud that gets on my new shoes.
As the Carpenters once sang, “Rainy days and Mondays always get me down.”
However, I’m here to tell you, they don’t have to.
In life, you have experienced wonderful things. You will experience wonderful things.
Instead of focusing on the coffee stain that nobody but you will see, focus on the people who are placed in your life for this season.
I have a saying and I honestly don’t know where I first heard it, but it speaks to me every time I hear it.
“Every person that is placed in your life is there for a reason. Some will be a blessing to you. Some you will be a blessing to them. For both circumstances, they are in your life for a season.”
That saying applies to everyone, so treat these people well.
Do the things you love.
Roll your windows down, turn up the country music and find a back road to clear your head.
Text that friend who’s been on your mind lately just to let them know you’re thinking about them.
Buy yourself flowers.
Downsize to a grande and pay for the person’s drink behind you.
We all know that life is crazy busy.
I want to encourage you to enjoy life now.
Things change so quickly and seasons are gone faster than you could have ever imagined.
These are also some of the best seasons.
Savor these moments.
Be the sunshine on a cloudy day because the sun will come out tomorrow.
